Alas here is a mystery of the universe: Like Operator Isn't Working Inside IIF
When I Use LIKE '*SOMESTRING*' as a criteria on a field in a query, it all worked beautifully...
But, when I do this inside an IIF function, it augers down in flames...Does not work...
Anybody have an idea WHY!
Anybody have an idea WHY!
For example: The condition below describes the state of a specified check box in a form, The truepart, falseparts are straight forward.
IIf([Forms]![frm_REPORTS]![Check30]=True, Like '*Hew*',Like '*G*')
Your Thoughts?
Like Function In Access

11 rows Remarks. You can use the Like operator to find values in a field that match the pattern you specify. For pattern, you can specify the complete value (for example, Like “Smith”), or you can use wildcard characters to find a range of values (for example, Like “Sm.”). In an expression, you can use the Like operator to compare a field value to a string expression. Filtering using Not Like in access query in Access 2007 ie Not Like 'Default' This works OK if the table is linked but does not work if same table is imported. Not on its own works with table that is.
